HALIFAX Bike Map

The Halifax Regional Municipality has an online interactive bike map of existing bicycle facilities and suggested routes. You can access it on your phone or computer. The map allows you to zoom, pan around, and find your neighborhood to help plan the best cycling routes near you. If you click on a route on the map, a pop-up with more information will appear.

The Halifax Bike Map app is another new, interactive tool for bicycle route planning that is now live. It allows users to see all-ages-and-abilities (AAA) cycling facilities within the downtown core of Halifax and Dartmouth within the circumferential highway. Feedback from residents showed a strong desire for a more user-friendly tool for bicycle route planning, similar to what is offered in many other Canadian cities.

The Halifax Regional Municipality also has a printable bike map that focuses on all-ages-and-abilities (AAA) cycling facilities within the downtown core of Halifax and Dartmouth within the circumferential highway. The map includes educational insets on how to use the new AAA bikeways and folds down in an accordion style that fits into your pocket.

The HRM Pocket Bike Map is another portable paper bike map for Halifax Peninsula & Downtown Dartmouth that directs readers to all ages and abilities cycling facilities, multi-modal connections, amenities, key destinations, information on safety & other resources.

With new bikeways being built each year, it’s never been a better time to ride a bicycle in Halifax. As their All-Ages-and-Abilities cycling network continues to grow, more and more people are making the switch to cycling for getting around in their community. The Bike Map is a great tool for planning your next bicycle ride.
